HPE InfoSight – Introducing a new test drive experience
How can InfoSight get you get in the mindset of fire-fighting as well as fire prevention? Whether your focus is on storage, virtualization, compute, hyperconverged systems, or on the applications that run mission critical workloads, the key to unlocking the potential of AI-driven operations is taking the time to truly understand the tools and features available with HPE InfoSight. That’s where our new test-drive portal comes in.
HPE InfoSight is a cloud-based, predictive analytics and support automation platform. Featuring an intuitive and interactive web portal, AI-driven preemptive support automation, customized prescriptive recommendations and northbound Wellness API access, today's infrastructure engineers, CIOs, HPE partners and resellers alike have access to a wealth of information. This information can make their jobs and decision-making processes easier, and can provide a smarter way to plan for future growth.
The concept of preemptive wellness, where various automated subsystems search for issues or misconfigurations in customer environments which match known issues in the field, is the bedrock of HPE InfoSight. This allows us to alert customers of potential infrastructure issues based on what we have already seen across our global install base. The support automation process alerts customers to these situations and provides fixes or workarounds, reducing downtime and ensuring seamless operations across many HPE products. That’s the power of global visibility backed by mature machine learning! To dig deeper on this subject, check out this blog by Ronak Chokshi: How AIOps can predict and prevent the hairiest infrastructure problems.
When you combine preemptive wellness with InfoSight’s other features such as AI-based recommendations, cross-stack integration with VMware and Hyper-V, HPE server integration, among others, you get the industry’s most advanced AI for infrastructure.
Pivoting from fire prevention to fire-fighting mode
But what happens when there is an issue and you need to troubleshoot? How can InfoSight help in those situations? How do you get in the mindset of fire-fighting and pivot away from fire prevention mode? Whether your focus is on storage, virtualization, compute, hyperconverged systems, or on the applications that run mission critical workloads, the key to unlocking the potential of AI-driven operations is taking the time to truly understand the tools and features available with HPE InfoSight.
That’s where our new test-drive portal comes in.
Based on what we've heard from our customers, field sales and partners, and based on the questions we often receive, we have created a new set of demos detailing how to use InfoSight in real-world troubleshooting situations. Intrigued? Let’s take a look.
From the main InfoSight demo portal, you’ll see a NEW section titled ‘Test-drive HPE InfoSight’.
The intent of the new demos is three-fold. The first is to educate users on how to navigate the new web portal user interface, the second is to demonstrate how to use InfoSight to troubleshoot ongoing issues as well as preventive measures, and the third is to illustrate the breadth of product coverage and valuable information available.
In addition to the new test-drive demos, the main demo landing page contains a set of demos which cover topics such as how to get started with InfoSight, as well as troubleshooting and analysis for HPE Nimble Storage, HPE Primera, HPE Servers, HPE SimpliVity and HPE Nimble Storage dHCI.
If videos are more your speed, you can also check out this new release in which I introduce the new test drives, as well as walk you through one of the new troubleshooting scenarios.
It’s a fairly simple and intuitive process – so what are you waiting for? Navigate to the HPE InfoSight demo portal and take the test drive! To learn more about HPE InfoSight, please check out The Gorilla Guide to AI-driven Operations with HPE InfoSight.
I would appreciate your feedback, too, so please respond to this blog article with your questions and observations.
